It’s birthday time for our first born. So you know what that means….time to pull out all the old baby pictures and find which one I should embarrass Matt with this year.
It’s hard to believe that the little boy who showed up 25 years ago, is on his own in medical school. He showed up on a cold Fairbanks day of -32 degrees and three weeks late. He might have shown up late to the party but he has made up for it every since. Matt has never stopped amazing Nancy and I with his wit, compassion, drive and the ability to always put others before himself. He never met a person he didn’t call a friend after just a few moments of interaction. It’s a gift which will serve him well all through his life.
I don’t know where all the time has gone. But it was a joy to see Matt get to this stage of his life. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for him
